Message on the Ukraine

Message on the Ukraine – May 1, 2022.:  Along with the rest of the world, ReSound! has heard, watched, and learned about the horrific events continuing to unfold in the Ukraine.

ReSound! is appalled by the unnecessary severe humanitarian crisis created due to Russia’s military invasion of this sovereign nation.

As ReSound!’s foundation is grounded in the Judeo-Christian framework of beliefs, through our music, we strive to build bridges of understanding between peoples of different faiths and cultures. We believe it important to join in the efforts of others - as often as possible - pursuing meaningful and relevant ways for the betterment of everyone, whether during times of blessing, or disaster.

We must all strive to be members of good standing in society, and thereby, ReSound! follows the laws and by-laws that govern the jurisdictions where we perform our choral artistry. While we acknowledge this, we also acknowledge governments and politics can often become badly divisive, frequently leading to such conflicts, so ReSound! upholds the neutrality and impartiality of our common bonds that unite all of humanity together; and so, we stand in solidarity with our fellow Ukrainian artists and musicians, along with the citizens of the Ukraine, and our Manitoban friends and communities with Ukrainian heritage. In particular, with think of our friends in Cook's Creek, MB, at this time.

Since ReSound! cannot engage in, and support, all humanitarian efforts the world over, on our own, during times of great need however, we can highlight the work of organizations of those capable, like the International Committee of The Red Cross. And while they currently have other key operations in Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Sahel, Syria, and Yemen, ReSound!'s intentions are currently focused on the citizens of the Ukraine.
